• P. 24요즘 영화나 드라마를 보면 ‘사건이 일어났다! 또 일어났다!’로 채워져 있잖아요? 점점 그런 특별한 사건이 없으면 드라마가 아니다, 영화가 아니다, 하는 착각이 드는 건 무서운 일이에요. 아무 일도 일어나지 않는 일상이 있기에 인간 세계가 존재한다고 생각하고요.

 

• P. 66연예계라는 곳에는 정말이지 무시무시할 정도로 색정과 욕망이 줄줄 흐르고 있지만, 한편으로는 엄청나게 고요한 것, 깨끗한 것이 줄줄 흐를 때도 있어. 그것들이 꼬인 새끼줄처럼 공존하는 와중에 어떻게 살아남을 것인가, 하는 세계예요.
• P. 73난 일흔이 넘은 이제부터가 가장 좋을 때인 것 같아요. 아무 생각 안 해도 돼. 이 연예계라는 어중이떠중이들의 세계 속에서 결국은 나 자신도 포함해 여러 사람을 마구 휘저어왔지만, 일흔이 지난 지금은 여기가 아주 좋은 거처라는 걸 실감해요.

P. 73 years old. I think it's the best time from now. You don't have to think about anything. The entertainment industry has finally stirred many people, including myself, in the world of the big fish, but now I realize that this is a very good place to live after seventy years later.
